A Precious Life was set up after Dr Nikky Ellis’s 18 month old son had a seizure and then stopped breathing in his car seat. Despite years of medical training and emergency medicine experience, Nikky initially panicked. “Even though I am a Doctor and an Advanced Paediatric Life Support Provider, I am used to having equipment, drugs and staff around me when emergencies occur in hospital. I had never thought about what I would do if my own children were in a life-threatening situation! And I was appalled at myself!” Nikky did manage to act swiftly and her son Rory is now a thriving, active 5 year old.

 

As mums and dads we often thoroughly research our baby equipment and edu-cate ourselves about childbirth and breastfeeding but how many of us manage to do a potentially vital First Aid Course? Let’s face it we are busy people and courses may be difficult to find or at inconvenient times / venues.

At A Precious Life we are passionate that Baby&Child First Aid is made more ac-cessible. We cover most of the South from West London through Surrey & Berk-shire to East Dorset, across Hampshire and into West Sussex. We can come to you, at a time and date to suit you and your family / friends’ schedules. We also run small group sessions (maximum size of five) in a variety of suitable venues, predominantly in Hampshire.—you can even bring your baby! There is no sharing of manikins on our courses either—each person has their own with a new respira-tory system for each course. We even bring tea & coffee (for groups of three or more)!!

 

To complement the courses, and expand on our passion for first aid, we sell an ev-er expanding range of yummy first aid kits which are packed full of things that you might actually need and use, and won’t be embarrassed to put into your nappy bag!
