There is nothing quite like an inspiring character to put us in a good mood for the day, and young Rio Woolf has done exactly that today.

The seven-year-old amputee, who lost his leg at the age of 10 months, appeared on Good Morning Britain today to chat about next week’s Invictus Games – and he has become something of a social media star!

The adorable Rio left hosts Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd in fits of laughter as he took over operation of the camera to give Ben his close-up, and also recreated Prince Harry’s hilarious ‘Boom’ skit to the Obamas.

Twitter was alight with praise for Rio, with one viewer writing: “So warming to see a young boy with a disability so happy. Inspirational and humbling at the same time. Good luck Rio.”

“How wonderful to see how the Invictus Games has inspired Rio Woolf on Good Morning Britain this morning – and the best #Boom so far!” tweeted another.

Rio is nothing short of an inspiration. Despite losing his leg at such a young age, he adores sport and is keen to pursue a career as a wheelchair basketball Olympian.

Before bringing his dream to life (which he will no doubt achieve), Rio has the all-important privilege of flying out to Florida to meet his sporting heroes, ahead of the Invictus Games.

Enjoy every second of it, Rio!

SHARE with a fellow mum who will love Rio’s antics.
