With the sun high in the sky, it’s definitely time to pull the sandals out from hiding at least for the one or two days of summer we’re going to get.

Unfortunately, after being cooped up in heavy, yet fashionable boots since last September, our toes are leaving little to be desired.

Eat properly

You need to eat a diet rich in vitamin E, Omega-3, minerals, iron, calcium and zinc. So that’s your beans, peas, potatoes, spinach, cabbage, broccoli, whole grains, fish, flax seeds and nuts.

Exfoliate

You won’t clear up any dry skin in one go, you’ll have to do it a few times a week to get them soft and supple. You can make your own by mixing your cleanser or shower cream with sugar or pick up one specifically for feet.

Moisturise

Once you have exfoliated, don’t forget to hydrate your skin again with plenty of moisturiser. Be generous and pop a clean pair of socks on to stop you slipping.

If your heels are particularly dry, you won’t notice any improvements for at least two or three weeks, but it will be worth it when you’re flaunting gorgeous feet on the beach.
