When it comes to weddings most of us always assume that it it the bride who is the one we should all be wary about not the groom.

However, it seems things are a little bit different in Josh Brolin's household as he admits he is a “control freak”.

The Labor Day actor, who has been engaged to Kathryn Boyd since April of this year, says that he has to “force himself to back off” when it comes to planning the couple’s wedding.

Speaking during a promotion for his new film, Everest, the 47-year-old said: "I'm such a control freak and I want to control everything. It's not even that I want to control it—I just want to be in the middle of it. I want to be in the nucleus of it because that's the fun part. That's the nectar."

The couple reportedly started dating in February 2014, and while Josh explains that they are still trying to figure out times and “all that stuff” he is said to be very excited about their impending nuptials.

Josh, who stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Kiera Knightley among others in his latest movie, also explained that he and Kathryn don’t have any specific ideas for the big day.

"It's not that I'm going for anything in particular. I just want to be in the soup."

Aw, it’s lovely that he wants to be so involved!
