She recently came in for great praise for posting a raw, bare-faced photo just days after giving birth, and it seems Molly Sims really is in sharing mode.

The 43-year-old, who welcomed third child Grey Douglas earlier this month, has opened up about entering the unknown with her most recent birth.

Molly had C-sections with older children Brooks (four) and Scarlett (22 months), and had planned for the same with baby Grey.

“I thought, for sure, this was going to be a C-section, no problem,” she told Awestruck.

The model and presenter was in for a shock, however, because Grey decided to make his entrance into the world a day ahead of schedule.

Molly awoke in the middle of the night to back pain and ‘really bad cramps’. She then began experiencing contractions, and when they reached 12-minutes intervals, she knew it was time to call the doctor.

“I kept pacing. I’m like, ‘Is this labour? Is this not labour?’ It was very confusing, but I was in so much pain,” she recalled.

By the time Molly and her husband Scott reached the hospital, she was ‘scared to death’ – but it was time for Grey to make his appearance.

“I was still trying to convince them that ‘I’m not having this baby until tomorrow, I can hold off’. Nevertheless, I was in full-on labour,” she added.

Baby Grey arrived into the world on January 10.
