As occasions go, birthdays are pretty special – but there is extra cause for celebration for Liam Payne today; this is because it’s his first birthday as a father!
The former One Direction star turns 24 today, and he took to Instagram to pay a very special and sweet tribute to his five-month-old son, Bear.
Sharing two adorable photos of Bear’s tiny hands on his own, the singer gushed: “Best birthday ever.”
Aw! It looks like Liam has truly had a wonderful few days of celebrations. The Strip That Down singer and his other half, Cheryl, having been enjoying a sun-soaked holiday with their little one.
While Cheryl has stayed largely out of the spotlight since giving birth in March, she was only too happy to pose for a selfie with Liam at the weekend.
Liam has previously opened up about how much he loves fatherhood, and how little Bear has changed his life for the better.
“The moment that little boy looks in your eyes, your life is changed forever,” he previously said.
“Waking up in the morning is just a totally different thing now. I sat with him all this morning watching cartoons that he doesn’t really understand yet, but it’s wonderful.”
And it seems he has taken to parenthood like a duck to water – well, if Cheryl’s adorable Father’s Day tribute was anything to go by.
Marking the star’s first Father’s Day, in June, the mum-of-one gushed: “You are the most amazing daddy and the best example for our son. The way he looks at you says it all.
“Your relationship melts my heart. You are the centre of his world, and we adore you.”
These two – or should we say, these three – are too cute for words.
