It’s been a tough few months for Billie Lourd who lost her mother, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, within days of each other back in December.

 

And the 24-year-old actress has marked what would have been her grandmother’s 85th birthday on Instagram with a sweet picture of the two most important women in her life.

 

“Happy 85th to my constantly classily clad Abadaba,” read Billie’s caption.

 

The throwback image shows the ever-glamorous Debbie Reynolds, donning an emerald green two piece with her daughter Carrie standing behind her.

Billie’s mother Carrie died on December 27 after spending four days in intensive care.

 

News of the Start Wars actress’s death spread quickly online, and fans and co-stars responded with words of condolences for her family, as well as tributes to the actress.

 

Tragically, the next day Billie’s grandmother Debbie suffered a severe stroke and died later that day in hospital.

 

 

Posting to her Instagram days after their death, Billie thanked well-wishers for their words of condolences.

 

“Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist,” read her post.

 

“There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby.

 

“Your love and support means the world to me.”

 

 

Since then, Billie has shared a number of tributes to her mother on social media.

 

Sharing an image of her and her mother, Billie told fans of how she continues to be inspired by her mother every day.

 

“Finding the funny might take a while, but I learned from the best and her voice will forever be in my head and in my heart,” she wrote on Instagram.
