We have some very sad news to share this evening, with the announcement that legendary TV entertainer Bruce Forsyth has passed away.
The news was shared by his family, who confirmed that he passed away after a period of illness. He was 89 years of age.
Bruce, who was considered a national treasure in his native Britain, is survived by his third wife, Wilnelia, and his six children.
Tributes have begun rolling in for Bruce, who started off his career in the showbiz world at the tender age of 14.

Quoting his famous catchphrase, one gutted fan tweeted: “Nice to have seen you, to have seen you nice, Sir Bruce Forsyth.”
This Morning presenter Rylan Clake-Neal led the celebrity charge, tweeting: “God bless ya, Brucie. RIP a true entertainer.”
