Yesterday on The Howard Stern Show, rapper Cardi B shared some exciting news: she and her fiance Offset will be welcoming a daughter.
Howard, never one to beat around the bush, asked the chart-topping artist, "Do you know what you’re having … what are you having?"
“Yes,” the NYC native responded, “I’m having a girl.”
We are so thrilled for her! The 'Bodak Yellow' rapper has been dropping hints about her first child's gender quite frequently as of late.
While speaking with The New York Times ahead of the Met Gala (where she SLAYED the red carpet), Cardi used feminine pronouns to refer to her little bundle of joy.
“Shorty weighs three and a half pounds,” the expectant mum said.
“She do,” the hip hop artist continued, “She do weigh three and a half pounds. That’s pretty good for seven months, right? Because I was born five pounds.”
And speaking of pounds, apparently that gorgeous pearl-covered dress the mum-to-be wore to the Met Gala weighed at least 30 pounds! Cardi looked like a walking, talking work of art in the ornate garment.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the star-studded event, the former Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member said of her baby kicking:
"Oh, she wants to fight me!"
The 25-year-old explained further, "[My dress weighs] about 35 pounds plus baby. It's OK though, I used to go up the project stairs."
We love Cardi B and her unabashedly honest attitude! We wish her and Offset the best as they prepare for the arrival of their baby girl.
