Recently, we shared the shocking story of a young girl who suffered racial abuse after dressing up as Princess Elsa, but sadly, racial attacks on children are nothing new.

This is something that pregnant mum-of-one Kim Kardashian can certainly attest to, after that shocking airplane incident in Vienna.

Anyone who follows Keeping Up With the Kardashians will remember how Kim’s daughter, North – who was only a baby at the time – was on the receiving end of racial taunts during a plane flight home.

Now, the 34-year-old has spoken candidly about the experience during a speech at the San Francisco Commonwealth Club.

“I did have an awful experience on a plane once. She [the woman] was slurring racial things at me. North was less than one so she didn’t know,” she said.

Revealing how she was stopped from rising to the provocation, Kim said: “I was about to go over and say something, then an Indian man stopped me and said it just isn’t worth it.”

Kim used the incident to touch on how she and Kanye intend to teach North and their unborn son about diversity.

“Kanye and I together are so open. He is so vocal about race, so I think we’ll be really helpful for our children. We will talk to our children the way our dad spoke to us,” she added.

The reality star is due to give birth in December.
