Coleen Rooney has had a difficult few days following husband Wayne's arrest for drink-driving another woman’s car. The disgraced footballer was reportedly three times over the limit, and was detained in the early hours of last Friday morning.

However, mum-of-three Coleen managed to put her problems to one side for the day as she proudly celebrated son Klay’s first day at school.

This morning, Coleen uploaded a sweet photo of son Klay, four, proudly wearing his school uniform of a striped blazer with a matching cap and grey shorts.

The cute little boy smiled sweetly for the photo, which Coleen captioned: “Big school for my gorgeous Klay!”

Coleen’s supportive fans offered her their best wishes, with one writing: “What a handsome little chap. Enjoy big school, Klay!! Those gorgeous boys are a serious credit to you Coleen.”

Coleen, who is expecting the couple’s fourth child, is said to be livid with her husband following his arrest. She returned from a holiday in Mallorca to confront Wayne as news of the scandal broke.

Laura Simpson, the woman who was in the car with Wayne at the time of his arrest, alleges that the pair “kissed and cuddled” after meeting in a local nightclub, and claims Wayne was giving her a lift home. Laura has said the pair would have had sex had they not been pulled over by police.

According to The Sun, Laura received a phone call from Coleen asking her to recount the events of that night.

“She asked me to tell her what happened. She seemed unhappy with the fact that we had left a nightclub in a cab together to go to my car,” Laura revealed.

“She asked, ‘Was your car not outside the front?’

“I told her the truth, that it wasn’t, and that we had left in a cab together to get my car which was parked outside a friend’s."

Coleen pleaded for paparazzi to stop following her car yesterday, accusing them of endangering her children.

“Please can photographers have respect and stop following me with my three children in the car,” the 31-year-old wrote on Twitter. It’s dangerous, and I’ve had enough.”

Wayne is expected to make a public apology for his behaviour, and he will be fined two weeks wages, in total £300,000, according to The Mirror.

He is due to appear in court at Stockport, on September 18, on drink driving charges.
