Concern as sources say actor is ‘not a part of’ daughter’s life

The world expressed shock when they announced that they were going their separate ways, but Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had made a point at the time of showing that their daughter Suri would be their priority.

 

This is why sources close to the former couple have been expressing their concern of late, in light of claims that Cruise has not seen his eight-year-old daughter for over a year.

 

Insiders told entertainment website TMZ that the Hollywood star has ‘not been a part of Suri’s life’ for the past year, putting filming commitments ahead of their relationship.

 

This comes just weeks after a source close to Katie Holmes revealed that there is ‘bad feeling’ between her and her ex-husband, primarily due to Tom’s glaring absence from their daughter’s life.

 

 

Tom and Katie married in a Scientologist wedding ceremony back in 2006, welcoming daughter Suri that same year. However, Katie went on to file for divorce in 2012 amid rumours that she was fed up of the actor’s ‘controlling’ behaviour towards her and their daughter.

 

Let’s hope that, whatever the case, Suri has the support she needs from both parents.
