The world went crazy for him when he made his first official public appearance, during the royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, and this latest anecdote about Prince George really has warmed the cockles of our hearts today.

During a recent appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge opened up on recent developments with her 20-month-old son, revealing that he is chatting away happily at home.

Speaking to luxury travel advisor Claudia Gordon at the 105th birthday fete of London’s Goring Hotel, the Duchess recounted a particularly sweet incident during Prince William’s time in China.

Ms Gordon said: “I asked her if Prince George was excited about the new prince or princess that was coming and she said yes, and that he is a toddler and talking and walking.”

“Then she told me that his daddy, Prince William, was visiting China. After hearing this, George went to the china cabinet, opened it and proclaimed ‘Daddy is not here’. She said they would work on his geography,” she added.

Prince George is set to become a big brother very soon, with the Duchess’ due date reportedly set for April 25.

No doubt Prince George is keeping everyone well entertained ahead of the new arrival.
