While our own mothers struggled with bin liners and didn't even consider taking part in Halloween festivities, the same can't be said for the Knowles / Carter clan.
In a move which has us wishing our mums and grannies had gotten dickied up alongside us back in the day, Beyoncé has shared footage of the prep which went into their family Halloween.
Opting to go as 90s rapper Salt-N-Pepa, Beyonce, her mum Tina, her daughter Blue Ivy and her husband Jay-Z gave us all serious family goals by taking the theme and running with it.
From the oversized shell jackets and the skin-tight lycra leggings to the gold jewellery and accompanying fanny-packs, Bey and the crew put the rest of us to shame.
"They killed it as usual," wrote one fan after checking out Bey's Halloween montage which was - unsurprisingly - accompanied by Salt-N-Pepa's Push It.
"My fave family... Love u guys till infinity," added another.
OK, that's it - we're upping our game next year.
