Bearing this in mind, we were definitely able to muster up some sympathy for mum-of-one Kim Kardashian when she revealed her husband of one year was ruthless when assessing her much-loved wardrobe staples.
Revealing that Kanye West's no-nonsense attitude to some of her style choices as well as his demands to ditch certain footwear moved her to tears, Kim said: "It was like a pile to the ceiling, of shoes. And all my amazing shoes that I loved. And I started crying. I was like, 'I can't get rid of this stuff. Your stylist has no idea what she's talking about.'"
Chatting on Live with Michael and Kelly earlier this week, North's mum revealed she refused to bin her beloved footwear, recalling: "I put it all in another room and I was like, 'I'll trust your opinion but I'm not getting rid of my stuff."'
The star, whose sister is currently struggling with their stepfather's transition, admitted that Kanye's subsequent generosity softened the blow somewhat, gushing: "And then I walked in my room and there was an entire room filled with all new clothes...the stuff he wanted to fill back up my closet with."
Paying tribute to her husband for igniting her passion of fashion, Kim went on to say: "It was like really cool, new designer stuff that I, you know, hadn't even heard of some of these designers before and it really helped me fall in love with fashion."
With a haul like that, we're sure she got over her other loss fairly swiftly!
