They have found themselves at the centre of scrutiny in the past, amid rumours of infidelity and separation, but it seems Victoria and David Beckham are stronger than ever.

This certainly seems to be the case, judging from the fashion designer’s latest interview, with Vogue Netherlands.

The 43-year-old posed up a storm as she discussed her marriage, her family and her growing fashion empire.

On the subject of the secret to success in her 18-year-long marriage to former footballer David, Victoria gushed: “David and I have a lot of fun together.

“If I really was as miserable as I look in some of those paparazzi pictures, my children wouldn’t be as happy as they are. And I certainly wouldn’t be married anymore.”

Once known for her perma-tan and animated style, the former Spice Girl has pared back her look ever since launching her highly successful fashion brand – and it seems she has adopted this more laidback attitude in other areas of her life, too.

“I’m not perfect,” she told the magazine. “I don’t have to look like I’m 25. I’m 43 – that sounds worse than it feels. I focus on what I’ve accomplished, and I feel blessed.”

Victoria’s latest comments are very much in-keeping with the sentiments shared in her open letter, What I Wish I’d Known, recently published in British Vogue.

In the piece, Victoria finally admitted to getting breast implants, despite previously denying undergoing any cosmetic surgery.

Writing to her younger self, the mum-of-four said: “I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs.

“All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got.”

In the same letter, she referenced some of her more questionable fashion moments – and had no reservations about admitting to ‘appearing ridiculous’.

“Fashion will take on added stature one day, but try not to be stifled by it. You will learn, as you mature, to swap heels for Stan Smith trainers, mini-dresses for crisp white shirts. And you will never be one of those people who just rolls out of bed,” she added.

Victoria has her fair share of critics, but we have to give her credit for telling it like it is.
