There is sad news this morning as it has been confirmed that Debbie Reynolds passed away on Wednesday, just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, died.

Her son Todd Fisher confirmed the sad news saying that the 84-year-old suffered a stroke just fifteen minutes after saying she would like to be with Carrie again.

“The last thing she said this morning was that she was very, very sad about losing Carrie and that she would like to be with her again,” her son Todd said, according to the Guardian.

“Fifteen minutes later she suffered a severe stroke.

“The only thing we’re taking solace in is that what she wanted to do was take care of her daughter, which is what she did best.”

Carrie's daughter and Debbie's granddaughter, Billie Lourd, took to Facebook to share a picture of the three generations following the sad news.

And tributes have been pouring in ever since news broke:

Debbie, who divorced Carrie's dad, Eddie Fisher, following his affair with Elizabeth Taylor, was famous for her role as Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain; many will also remember her for playing Grace's mother Bobbi on Will & Grace.
