Fearne Cotton was once known for being a party girl, but these days she’s a devoted mum to kids Rex, four, and Honey, one.

Fearne’s life has changed completely now that she’s a mum, and she’s moved on to new projects such as writing her second cookbook, Cook, Eat, Love.

Following the success of her first healthy eating cookbook - Cook Healthy, Cook Happy - she’s written a second book with healthy recipes for every meal.

Although many of her recipes are vegan, she says her children don’t follow a vegan diet.

While Fearne and her husband Jesse Wood enjoy healthy ingredients such as chia seeds, fruit and vegetables, and quinoa; she says her children’s meals are slightly different.

“I WISH they would eat like us!” Fearne said. “They're very young, so they're good with some foods and fussy with other things," she explained.

"They both eat proteins like fish and sausages and carbs, but Rex loves eggs, while Honey won’t look at one. She loves sweet potato, and he will only eat broccoli.

"But these are quirks they'll get over with age, time and perseverance."

Fearne, herself, is a pescatarian and doesn’t eat any meat other than fish but is happy to cook meat for her family.

The DJ says there’s a good reason why she never shows photos of her children’s faces on her social media, too.

She said she wants to protect them from the possibility of bullying in school: "I've never posted a picture of their faces online, because I don't want them to be singled out at school.

"It's up to them if they want to be in the industry,” she told The Mirror.

"Some parents don't care if they put their children in the public eye, but I want them to make the decision for themselves when they're older.

"I show the back of their heads so people never know what they look like or anything about them, but I still get to show parts of my family life, which is something that's really important to me."

We think her approach towards social media is very smart and considerate of her children’s feelings.
