She has never held back or been afraid to share even her most controversial opinions with the world, but it appears that there is a price going with Katie Hopkins’ reputation.

Indeed, while she may let on that she is fine with being a public hate figure, it seems that it has had an impact on her family, including her children – India, Poppy and Max.

The 40-year-old, who first came to prominence as a participant on The Apprentice, admitted that her family are now living in a high-security home, with the police on-call twenty-four-seven.

Asked by The Sun if her children have been affected by her unpopularity, she responded: “They are isolated from it – they live down in the countryside. Our house is rigged up to the local police station.”

Katie’s comments come after it emerged that she herself has been reported to the police after being accused of inciting racial hatred against Labour MP Simon Danczuk.

While it is not yet clear what the fallout will be for Hopkins, her latest admission about her family’s life in her shadow are more than a little unsettling.

Katie has enraged the public and celebrities alike with her controversial statements on everything from ADHD to obesity.
