It’s a well-known fact that cheeky TV duo Ant and Dec are as close off screen as on screen. They met as children and are still best friends at the age of 41.

From starring in Byker Grove, their pop career as PJ and Duncan, a brief appearance in Love Actually, and becoming one of UK TV’s favourite double acts, Ant and Dec have shared many of their major milestones together.

So we’re not surprised to learn that they both hope to have families of their own soon.

Prior to presenting the Saturday Night Takeaway live from Disney World in Florida, the gregarious Geordie guys talked about coming back in the future with kids of their own.

“You can’t help but be blown away by this place. Would we come back with a little Ant and Dec?

“Oh, definitely! We saw it on the show, what it means for young ones to come out here”, Dec told The Mirror Online.

“It would be one of those things to do with children, definitely.”

Dec said: “Kids are absolutely one of the things on the cards for us”, while Ant nodded.

The presenters were filming a special show which saw 200 competition winners fly to Disney World, alongside Ant and Dec for the special live show.

In 2013, Ant admitted he and wife Lisa Armstrong were struggling to conceive. The popular presenter said: “Lisa and I would love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older.”

He refuted the rumour that he was waiting for Dec to find love also: '”There’s a rumour that we do everything together and I’m holding off having kids till Dec finds himself Mrs. Right.

“I love that idea, but I’m afraid it’s not true.”

Earlier this year he again expressed his desire for a family: “We would love to have a family so fingers crossed.

"If we’re blessed with children, then we’d be over the moon”, he said.

Ant met make-up artist Lisa in 2004 and they have been married for almost 11 years. Meanwhile Dec remained single for several years but he’s now happily married to the duo’s manager Ali Astall who he began dating in 2013.

Dec has also expressed his hopes for kids to The Mail Online but said he and Ali were biding their time.

“Absolutely at some point, when the time is right”, he said.

“We’ll have to put some time in the diary. Things are pretty busy!”

A mini Ant and Dec would be hilarious, we’d love to see that!
