Hitting those milestone birthdays can put our lives into perspective in radical ways.
Kylie Minogue recently celebrated an important birthday, as she turned 50 on May 28. The pop star admitted in an interview with The Sun that she already feels different since passing the half-century mark.
“I do, do," she responded to a question about if she feels different, "It’s been looming. Yes, I’m more content. Some things have started to make sense. I mean, you accept it or you don’t. And I think the best way to accept it is with open arms.
“I say yes or no much quicker than I used to, which is probably good for everyone else as well.”
If those are the major changes that come with five decades on earth, we're ready! We also love her laid-back, positive approach to growing older.
The former Neighbours actress also opened up about her relationship with GQ magazine's creative director Paul Solomons.
“I’m so happy to be back on terra firma in that sense," she shared.
“So yeah, life’s, I won’t say a little bit, I’ll say a lot, better. Life’s great. Take that as you wish.”
She discussed her preferences on weddings, too, saying that she enjoyed watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot.
However, a lavish ceremony isn't really Kylie's style.
“Also, I love a far more low-fi wedding. It’s a lovely thing. If it’s the right thing, it’s a lovely thing," the Grammy Award winner dished.
As for whether she herself wants to get married, the Princess of Pop remains on the fence.
“Like, I might, I might not. I did say, ‘Maybe it’s not for me.’ But the other half is maybe. I don’t know," the 50-year-old explained.
She added, "The thing I’ve said for years and years, even when I was probably doing press at 21 years old, is that I think I’ll have a family — I don’t know if I’ll ever get married, though. It’s weird. I’ve done neither.”
Family and wedding plans aside, it's lovely to see Kylie welcoming life at 50!
