Lauren Conrads sons first word was Dada and this is what she said about it

All parents look forward to their little ones saying their first words.

And, if we're being honest, mum's hope that the first thing they say will be ''mama'', right?

Well, in Lauren Conrad's case, that didn't happen

Her little son Liam is starting to speak and he has been getting quite talkative.

Lauren told People that he's still “in his imitation phase” and is “getting really chatty.”

She said, ''We’ll be talking and saying words to him and he’ll repeat a word and then refuse to say it again...I think he’s starting to understand the power he holds in this. He’s getting a little sassy in a good way. He’s catching on. He’s a smart kid and putting things together."

Lauren revealed that Liam said 'Dada' before 'Mama' and she's fine with it.

She said, ''If I ask him, he won’t say Mama, but I know he knows how to say it because he’ll say it when he wants something.''

She continued, ''He's learning that he can withhold things. He’s stubborn like I am. I deserve it! We’ll have our whole family over and he decides who gets a kiss and who does not and it’s very funny."

With Christmas coming up, how is she planning to spend the holiday with her family?

She said that her family will soon be developing traditions of their own.

She said, ''He’s still so tiny. Last year, he was only 6 months so we were still such new parents figuring it out.''

She added, ''We’ll probably start developing them in the next couple of years, to be honest.”

So sweet - that's something to look forward to.
