Prince Charles has voiced one of his biggest concerns for his grandchildren.

Although he is over the moon to have another grandchild, he is worried about the world the child will live in.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first baby together, and he or she will be the fourth grandchild to join the young royals.

Talking to the Telegraph, the grandfather said: “I am about to have another grandchild actually.

“I suspect quite a few of you may too have grandchildren or will do soon.

“It does seem to me insanity if we are going to bequeath this completely polluted, damaged and destroyed world to them.

“All grandchildren deserve a better future.”

The Prince of Wales made the statement during a meeting about plastic pollution in Ghana.

He discussed the current pollution crisis with leading experts and spoke with artists and activists who are finding unique ways to recycle plastic.

One of these artists, Chineyenwa Okoro Onu, presented the prince with a portrait of himself in the middle of a Union flagmade made completely from recycled materials (old paint brushes, tin cans and plastic bottles).

“A solution is achievable and simply has to be done for all our sakes – and, above all, for the long-term viability of all those species in the sea which are already suffering unbearably because of our actions,” the prince said.

Hopefully, he can help create a better environment for the little royals along with the next generation.

Prince William and Kate Middleton parent his other three grandchildren - Prince Charles, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
