Olympic gold medalist Jessica Ennis-Hill has just announced she’s expecting her second child with her husband, Tony Hill.
The mum-of-one, who recently retired from athletics, used her two-year-old son, Reggie, to announce her exciting news on Instagram.
She posted an adorable photo of little Reggie looking at a book titled 'I'm Going To Be A Big Brother'.
Jessica wrote underneath: “Someone's going to be a big brother. Another little Ennis-Hill on the way. So happy.”
The 31-year-old is renowned for winning two gold medals at the London Olympics, in 2012.
She announced she was withdrawing from the Commonweath Games in January, in 2014, due to her first pregnancy. Her son Reggie was born in July 2014.
Jessica made a triumphant return to athletics just one year later. She represented Britain at Rio Olympics last year, and won a silver medal in the heptathlon
In addition to this, she also won a World Championship gold medal in Beijing in 2016.
She announced her retirement late last year after this success.
Jessica was made a Dame this year in the New Year’s Honours list, for her contributions to athletics. Prior to this, she also received an MBE in 2011.
Since her retirement, she has been co-writing a set of seven children's books in a series called Evie's Magic Bracelet. We bet those will come in handy for bedtime stories.
Looks like 2017 will be a very exciting year for Jessica and her family. We wish her all the best with the new baby.
