Away on holiday recently, this teen girl got a surprise video message from her dad. It starts out pleasant enough, with dad complimenting the happy snaps on her social media pages.
“I saw the little chasing the crab deal,” he says. “Looks like fun.”
Then, without changing his tone of voice or expression, he gets to the point.
“Hey, when you get home,” he begins, “I’d like to talk to you about this.”
The girl’s dad then pulls out a near-empty bottle of Fireball Whiskey.
“I don’t know if this is something that fell out of a sock, because it was in your sock drawer,” he says, revealing her hiding place.
“We heard a news report of people breaking into houses and hiding whiskey bottles,” he says, before adopting a more serious tone.
“So if that’s the case, then we need to contact police. But if you’ve got another explanation maybe you can explain it to us when you get home.”
The teen, who calls herself ‘Elainey’ on Twitter, posted the vid online, with the caption: “Sooo my parents found this bottle I was hiding in my room and this happened….”
So far, it’s unclear if Elainey has been able to talk her way out of trouble. But her dad has gone down a storm online – his vid was retweeted nearly 10,000 times!
