Fun things to do in Plymouth, Devon

Right at the foot of the UK in Devon is a wonderful little city called Plymouth. A great destination for romantic weekend breaks, or a mini Midterm holiday with the kids, there is plenty to do here that will keep everyone happy and entertained.

 

1. Plymouth Sound

This picture-perfect location is a must-see and a great, peaceful place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee. There is also a wonderful park nearby that the kids are sure to love.

 

2. Barbican Theatre

If you are visiting on a weekend break with your other half or the girls, the Barbican Theatre is a great way to spend an evening enjoying good food and some of the best comedy around.

3. Smeaton Tower on The Hoe

If you fancy something a little different why not head to this awesome lighthouse with a pretty incredible history. Make sure you stay after dark to see The Hoe light up.

 

 

4. Plym Valley Cycle Trail

Whether you are with the kids or not hop on a rented bike and enjoy the wonderful Plym Valley. It’s a fantastic cycle path for kids and adults alike.  

 

5. Devonport Naval Heritage Centre

A great place to spend a rainy day, here you will be taken back in time for an entire afternoon.
