Eamonn Holmes has the sweetest relationship with his mum.

“This is where The Queen resides,” he joked as they opened the front gate.

“It’s your favourite son here,” he laughed. “Please to meet you,” his mum cheekily replied.

She was also quick to set the record straight - she has no favourites among her children. “They’re all my favourites,” she said. “All my sons”.

Growing up in a family full of boys, Eamonn has four brothers and no sisters. No wonder his mum is such a “character” (as he calls her).

Eamonn is sitting beside mum with his arm around her when she makes the comment.

His jaw drops when he hears his mum’s words, laughing at her comments on his TV “fame”.

UTV shared the interview on their Twitter, saying: “He's still my wee boy, he's no different from the rest."

“Even after all this time, Eamonn’s mother doesn't think of her son as a star.

“Join Malachi Cush as he takes the Belfast presenter back home to Northern Ireland.

The full episode will debut on UTV Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
