When we think of Ibiza, most of us imagine people in their twenties going from bar to bar in the evening and spending their days recovering by the beach. But there is a lot more to the fabulous island than this and it can make a pretty fantastic family holiday destination.
If you are planning on heading there this summer, make sure you take note of the following things to do:
1. Calo des Moro, San Antonio
Calo des Moro, a beach located by the Sunset Strip, is small, child-friendly and ideal for snorkelling. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants close by for when the kids get hungry.
2. The Aquarium Cap Blanc, San Antonio
This wonderful aquarium in a great place to spend the hot afternoons cooling down, and you can even go into a natural cave full of local fish.
3. Formentera, just off the coast of Ibiza
Formentera is a beautiful island just off the coast of Ibiza and its turquoise waters wouldn’t look out of place in the Caribbean. The Aquabus departs from Ibiza Town and will take you directly to this wonderful place.
4. Ocean Mania, San Antonio
It you fancy a bit of adventure, then Ocean Mania – the first ever inflatable Waterpark - is for you. influenced by the TV show Total Wipeout this is definitely not for the faint-hearted!
5. Ulises Cat boat excursions
Departing from Figueretas and Playa d’en Bossa regularly, these excursions will take you to Formentera or Es Vedra, a rock off the south coast. And with their glass bottoms you never know what you might spot swimming below the boat.
