Meghan and Harry set a date for baby Archies christening

The Duke and Duchess released a new photo of their darling boy Archie yesterday and he looked as cute as a button.

The doting parents are said to be enjoying every second of parenthood so far and they’re already making plans for their son’s christening.

It has been reported that Archie will be christened in the coming weeks at St. George’s Chapel, which is where Prince Harry’s very own christening took place in 1984.

According to Roya Nikkhah, royal correspondent for The Sunday Times, the new parents will have their son baptized in July.

Meghan’s mum Doria is set to fly over from America for the special day. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall are also expected to attend.

It has been reported that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip won’t attend the celebration due to other engagements.

Archie’s godparents will also be in attendance so there may be Hollywood royalty there on the day. It is believed George and Amal Clooney will be little Archie’s godparents, as well as four others.

Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney is also expected to be announced as one of Archie’s godmothers.

Royals tend to have at least six god parents. According to Robert Jobson of the Evening Standard, the reason why they have more than the usual person is “because of their role as members of the royal family that they need as many confidants as they can get apart from their parents.”

There’s no doubt Meghan and Harry will pick the perfect godparents for their son.
