Some of the biggest names in Hollywood stepped out on the red carpet last night for the Met Gala. The theme of last night’s event was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

The gala was hosted by Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace, and Stephen and Christine Schwarzman.

Many celebrities perfected the theme especially Lily Collins, Ariana Grande, Jared Leto and Chadwick Boseman and Rihanna who received oodles of praise for their looks last night.

However, the mums of Hollywood certainly stood out from the crowd, rocking some of the most striking gowns of the night.

Amal Clooney: The international law and human rights barrister was one of the first to arrive last night, and she certainly didn’t disappoint. The mum-of-two opted for cigarette pants with a Richard Quinn bustier, but what really stole the show was the glorious rose printed train she wore.

Blake Lively: Spotted on steps of the Met was the stunning Blake Lively, who was one of the best dressed at last night’s event. The Gossip Girl alum wore an extravagant ruby Versace gown, which took over 500 hours to make. The actress wore a spiked crown to honour the Heavenly Bodies theme.

Mindy Kaling: The Ocean’s 8 star looked like a true queen in a floor-length Vassilis Zoulias gown. However, what really caught people’s attention was the giant crown the actress wore. Dramatic headpieces were the go-to accessory last night, and Mindy’s gold crown with blue gems was the real winner. All hail Queen Mindy!

Amanda Seyfried: The Mamma Mia star dazzled in a Renaissance-inspired gold dress by Prada. We can’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance between the actress and Madonna during the Ray Of Light era. Those wavy locks are giving us serious hair envy.

Cardi B: The mum-to-be made her Met Gala debut last night in a jaw-dropping Moschino dress. The rapper proudly showed off her baby bump in the embellished gown and topped off the look with an eye-catching headpiece.
