Keeping your home somewhat clean is a never-ending task for mums all over, considering how busy our lives are. However, it’s not an impossible task, and there are a few things you can do on a daily basis to keep on top of it.

To cut down your cleaning time or help you up the pace, take note of these eight points.

1. Squeegee the shower after each use

The shower is the ultimate grime catcher but going over it with a squeegee after you are finished will stop this happening.

2. Wipe down the kitchen counters after every use

Crumbs and dirt won’t be able to build up if you wipe as you go.

3. Wipe down the taps while you are brushing your teeth

In two minutes you’ll have a glowing sink and sparkly teeth.

4. Make your bed every morning

It’ll only take you about five minutes to fix your bed but your room will be instantly transformed!

5. Open your windows

Get rid of dirty smells by opening the windows and allowing fresh air flow through the home.

6. Put your clothes away

Rather than simply throwing your clothes on the floor when you’re getting changed, fold them up or put them in the wash – yes, most of us are guilty of this!

7. Don’t let toys in the living room

Easier said than done, but it will be so much quicker to clean if you don’t have to put the Lego away first.

8. Don’t leave bath towels on the bath

Telling yourself you’re leaving them there to dry is not going to cut it anymore!
