Saying goodbye to your kids when they head off to college is never easy. It may be a thrilling time for your son or daughter, but it is a heart-breaking experience for parents.

However, we can’t even begin to imagine how overwhelming it must be when your pride and joy moves halfway across the world.

Victoria Beckham has had to say a temporary farewell to her eldest son, Brooklyn, who is currently studying in the city that never sleeps, New York.

The mum-of-four jetted over to the United States to spend some much-needed quality time with her eldest child.

She was beaming with joy as the family reunited in the Big Apple.

Like any proud mum, Victoria couldn’t help but share a photo of her darling brood. She posted a photograph on Instagram of her three sons - 18-year-old Brooklyn, 15-year-old Romeo and 12-year-old Cruz.

She shared her delight with her followers, “Harper has all her big brothers back!! We are so happy!!!! X love u @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham @davidbeckham X kisses.”

The brothers cuddled up together for the photo as the family dined together in New York. It’s safe to say Romeo and Cruz were overjoyed to be back with their older brother!

Harper may not feature in the photo, but Victoria shared that the youngster was beyond grateful for her brother’s company.

Brooklyn has been studying at Parson’s School of Design. He made the big move to America at the end of August.

He managed to find some time in his hectic college schedule so he could see his doting mum while she was visiting the city on Wednesday.

So happy to be in NYC x Kisses x

The proud mum posted numerous snaps from her trip, including an extremely cute one with her oldest son, who has grown up so much.

She captioned the snap, “So happy to be in NYC x Kisses x."

Brooklyn may have been busy catching up with his mum, but he didn’t let family time disrupt his studies too much. The student admitted that he spent a huge chunk of his day with his nose stuck in his books in the library.

Victoria and her husband, David, aren’t letting the distance affect their relationship with Brooklyn. The parents made it clear that visiting their son is a top priority.

We love how close the Beckhams are!
