Rio Ferdinand’s son had the sweetest reaction to his dad and Kate Wright’s engagement and our hearts might just burst.
The young boy took to Instagram to express his delight over his dad’s special news.
Rio and Kate shared a series of photos from the moment he popped the question and Rio’s 11-year-old son Lorenz left the most touching comment under the snaps.
The proud son wrote: “So glad she said yes. I'm so proud of you and Kate.”
He added: “I love you both so much.”
Ever the proud dad, Rio replied: “My boy is trying to make his dad all emotional and s**t.”
Rio and Kate confirmed their engagement news yesterday afternoon. The dad revealed he proposed in Dubai and his three children were there to witness the milestone.
Lorenz and his siblings 10-year-old Tate and seven-year-old Tia were overjoyed to be part of the magical moment.
Rio gushed about his three children, “She said yes. How these 3 kids kept it a secret I'll never know.”
Kate admitted she was on cloud nine following the proposal. Fans have been showering the newly engaged couple with congratulations since they shared their news.
The former TOWIE star thanked everyone for the love: “I’m feeling overwhelmed. Thanks so much, everyone for all the lovely messages today,” she wrote.
Kate and the sportsman have been together since early 2017. The pair met two years after Rio lost his wife Rebecca Ellison to cancer at the mere age of 34.
