Spring is just around the corner, and we’re getting ready for a refreshing wardrobe rejuvenation by forecasting the big trends to come. Last week we looked at the key fabrics, and prints and patterns to invest in, and today we’re turning our attention to the hottest shades for the season ahead.

1. White
It’s time to wave goodbye to the burgundies and blacks of winter, and welcome in the new season with a wave of white in your wardrobe. From fresh cottons to your favourite skinny jeans, your bright whites will liven up your look and keep things light and bright for spring.

Tip: White-on-denim is your daily go-to look this season.

2. Lilac
Having spent the past six months living in dark colours, the new-season pastel trend will add a refreshing burst of colour to your wardrobe. Lilac is the cool shade of the moment, and it will liven up your nudes and neutral shades perfectly. Invest in a key piece such as a longline coat or blazer, to team with your staple black trousers (for the office) or your white skinnies (for your off-duty wear).

Tip: Mix it up; pastels work really well when clashed with darker shades, so why not experiment by teaming lilac with a darker purple or plum for a luxurious night-time look.

3. Aquamarine
If you’re not a fan of pastels (although, as always, we encourage you to experiment, even if it’s well out of your comfort zone) then the other big colour trend this season will provide some better options. From your dark denims to your bright whites, aquamarine will work to add a bold burst of colour to your casual and dressier looks.

Tip: This is a really luxurious shade, so why not invest in a silk or satin blouse in the shade, to add instant glamour to any look?
