Everyone is trying to look their best at a party. Of course you want to as well. Some well-chosen accessories can do that for you. Accessories add an extra oomph to your outfit and can go a long way in making you feel confident at a gathering. Here are those that you can flaunt at a party.

The right bag - you don’t want to be carrying your knapsack to a party. Leave all of it behind and choose your bag with care. A lightly embellished clutch, if it’s a formal occasion. A small bag with a slinky chain if it’s a night on the town. If it’s a casual party, a neutral coloured handbag or shoulder bag will do.  Vintage bags, round cane bags, mirror work bags are all great choices.

Shoes - if there’s going to be dancing, then some comfortable shoes are mandatory. If you can kill it on the dance floor in stilettos, good for you! Make sure that the straps and stones on them are all in place and in good shape before you put them on for the party. Sparkly flats, quirky shoes, Oxford flats, brogues, and bright pops of colour in your footwear can make an interesting impression.

Jewellery - drop earrings are the rage for parties and it is not hard to see why. They tend to suit most everyone, and they are versatile, coming in different colours, patterns and metal choices. If you like chandelier earrings, pair them with a very simple, plain outfit. If your outfit has a lot of detailing, then you’re better off with a small pair of studs or hoops. Cocktail rings are large in size and make it possible for you to wear only that as a finger accessory. Alternately, you can choose a single statement piece. Perhaps an heirloom but do be careful to not lose it at the party. Chokers are coming back in a big way, and long loops of necklaces and chains have always been around.  Those work too.

A stone that lends itself to pretty much every kind of jewellery is the pearl. Pearl jewellery works well with every kind of look, modern and traditional. Imagine a simple pearl and silver bracelet or a pair of pearl drops to adorn your ears. Pearls are also great hair accessories. Sprinkle a few pearl pins in your hair and feel beautiful.

Fragrance - accessories aren’t only things. They can also be perfume. If someone is going to be in close quarters with you, sitting next to you on the sofa, or at the dining table, then a lovely smelling perfume is a must.  Don’t overdo it, keep it light and choose something that lingers, but doesn’t overpower.

Your attitude - intelligence and a great attitude are by far the best accessory to flaunt pretty much everywhere and not just at a party. Be an interesting and interested conversationalist, and the party will be a place of fun and enjoyment.

Remember, branded accessories are not the only way to make a point. If you choose well, and compliment it with wit and a smile, you will be fine.
