If you're continually finding yourself drowning in items you don't need or want or can't even remember buying, this famous de-cluttering method could help clear up your life.

Goodbye, random knickknacks from years ago! Hello, ACTUAL closet space and peace of mind!

Japanese organising consultant Marie Kondo has been interested in keeping things tidy since childhood, so she developed her own organisation process known as the KonMari method.

With the KonMari Method, you gather all of your belongings and divide them up by category, rather than de-cluttering room by room.

Then, you go through your items, only keeping those that 'spark joy' in you, and find a place for these belongings in your home from then on.

Her revolutionary method featured in her bestselling 2011 book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, which sold over 8.5 million copies.

And now, like any popular book, it's coming to our screens as well!

The organisation guru is going to have her own Netflix series, with the first season being eight episodes long, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"My mission is to organize the world and spark joy in people's lives," Marie told The Hollywood Reporter, "Through this partnership with Netflix, I am excited to spread the KonMari Method to as many people as possible."

The series is being produced by Gail Berman's Jackal Group and will have The Real Housewives producer Bianca Barnes-Williiams as its showrunner, so it's in good hands.

With a show under her belt now, Marie really is taking over the world! She's even launched an online course on her method. She and her team, KonMari Media, have also certified about 85 people as 'KonMari consultants'.

We welcome our new de-cluttering overlord - and we can't wait to watch her show.
