This multi-tasking mum is work-life balance goals

 

Melek Ustunluk of Clifton, New Jersey is a  hard-working mum. As well as being owning and operating her own successful braiding and hair studio, she is also mother to adorable 15-month-old Capella. 

 

And as any working mum knows, there are some times when you have to comprise between work and life. But Ustunluk found another solution.

With the caption "A mums gotta do what a mums gotta do", she posted a video of herself braiding a clients hair, while holding her baby. 

 

The post has since gone viral with over 61,000 views.

Ustunluk told Buzzfeed that her mother usually minds Capella, but was unavailable that day.

 

 "I couldn't cancel my appointments, so I decided to bring her with me" she said. 

 

A mummy's girl, Ustunluk asked her client if it was okay to hold Capella while doing his hair. "He was really cool about it," she said. "That's what I love about my clients. They understand that I'm a mom first and a business owner second."

 

Ustunluk said she posted the video to "inspire other single mompreneurs out there" to go for their goals. 

 

"That's why I [wrote the] caption, 'Mom's got to do what a Mom's got to do'," she said. "Sometimes we may miss a few steps, but us mothers make sure we climb to the top. If you have a dream, keep working towards it and never let anyone or anything stop you."

 

 

My Angel My soul Mate My Baby Capella, since you came into my life My whole world changed. Now that I know how it feels to be a mother I'm so happy I waited for you to become my daughter. Your smiles Cries and poops all make me happy. Never do you get me angry never do you make me regret. Because of your preciousness I see the world different I used to see the world pure, I used to see the world full of happiness and peace. Now that you are in my arms I'm here to protect you from the evilness that we the people on this earth come across. I learned that I can't trust anyone I learned that you are the only one that I should trust your the only one I should come home too your the only one I should hold for ever. As a mother as you are my daughter. I promise to never let go of your Heart till eternity. When I stare at you Day and night I just know Allah (swt) brought you into my arms for a reason. And that reason is to be your mother and to protect and teach you the world. Your mom is a different breed I am a free spirit and I believe world peace and as I raise my daughter she will learn about World peace, She will learn that we all are Brothers and sisters but she will be smart enough to know how to choose friends.
