Once you become a mother, you quickly learn how judgemental other people can be when it comes to parenting choices - an almost unavoidable downside to motherhood which one famous mum is currently experiencing.

Having given birth to baby boy Kit on Sunday, Coleen Rooney and her footballer husband Wayne have already suffered their fair share of backlash regarding the name chosen for the family's newest arrival, but it looks like the critics don't plan on stopping there.

Taking to Twitter to give fans and followers an insight into one of her postnatal plans, the 29-year-old divided opinion and suffered backlash over her decision to take placenta capsules as part of her post-pregnancy ritual.

Sharing a photo of Placenta Plus capsules on her social media platform, the new mum-of-three wrote: "Looking forward to starting my capsules @placentaplus1... Thank you."

While some Twitter users offered support and shared their own positive experiences of taking capsules and drinking smoothies, others weren't quite so enamoured with the idea and unfortunately wasted no time communicating this with the Liverpool-native.

Deriding the star's decision, one Twitter user insisted her plan was "gross", another questioned the purpose of the plan, writing: "Ughhhh, Had three kids and I didn't die for not taking" while another raised doubt as to the validity of the star's claim, writing: "Is there anything you won't advertise?"

Are you surprised Coleen has experienced backlash or do you feel it's par for the course when you document your life online?
