Your G.P. or paediatrician will be able to diagnose conjunctivitis in your child based on the following:
- Current symptoms (including sensitivity to light and the nature of the infection)
- Any recent illnesses, such as cold or flu.
- Any recent trauma
- Any history of allergies (such as asthma or hay fever)
- Your G.P. will organise any tests if necessary to discover the cause of conjunctivitis.
