One year after the untimely passing of highly-acclaimed actor, popular comedian and much-loved father-of-three Robin Williams, Zelda Williams addressed the grief she felt at her father's passing, and acknowledged a turning point in her journey.

Uploading a stunning photo of the moon rising over a lake, the 26-year-old daughter of the Good Morning Vietnam star poured her heart out and gave an insight into the struggles she has faced since her father's death by suicide last August.

The post, which has been liked thousands of times in mere hours, appeared to strike a chord with her legions of followers and attempted to make sense of the grieving process.

With heartbreaking honesty, Zelda explained her perspective, writing: "Avoiding fear, sadness or anger is not the same thing as being happy. I live my sadness every day, but I don't resent it anymore."

Admitting her new approach is sometimes difficult to implement, Zelda insists it's necessary, explaining: "It's not easy. In fact, I'd say it takes much more effort to consciously do than it does to just stay sad, but with all my heart, I cannot tell you how worth it it is."

Instead of seeking solace in order to forget her grief, Zelda allows certain moments to coincide with her heartbreak, writing: "Instead, I do it now so that the wonderful moments of joy I do find are not in order to forget, but to inhabit and enjoy for their own sake."

Zelda finished her touching post with some words of support for anyone who struggled with the same issues as her beloved father, writing: "And for those suffering from depression, I know how dark and endless that tunnel can feel, but if happiness seems impossible to find, please hold on to the possibility of hope, faint though it may be."

"Because I promise you, there're enough nights under the same yellow moon for all of us to share, no matter how or when you find your way there," she finished.

What a truly stunning post.
