They are definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but there is no denying that the Kardashian/ Jenner family are one of the most influential and powerful at the moment.

However, describing them as America’s First Family is probably going a little too far, as one US magazine has realised.

Cosmopolitan’s November issue features Khloé, Kim, Kourtney, Kris, Kylie and Kendall on the front cover - their first joint photoshoot in four years - but has come in for major criticism for labelling them America’s First Family.

From sharing pictures of Barack Obama and his family to admitting their utter “disgust” at the description, critics were quick to take to Twitter to air their grievances.

The Kardashian's reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians catapulted them into stars, but even Ryan Seacrest, who gave them their first break, admits he underestimated just how far they would go.

"No one could have predicted the Kardashians' and Jenners' success. But when you spend time with them, what resonates is the family unit. There are so many things about them that are glamorous, crazy, and unlike our lives, but the sense of family is universal."
