Juggling your work life with looking after a young baby is one of the hardest things any mother can do, as so many of you can attest to; that is why this Argentinian MP has come in for praise this week.

Victoria Donda Perez has become a viral internet sensation this week, after making the decision to breastfeeding her eight-month-old daughter, Trilce, during a parliament session.

The 47-year-old mum and MP was attending a meeting of parliament when little Trilce became agitated. Without giving it a second thought, Victoria began feeding her daughter in her seat.

Unsurprisingly, mothers up and down the country of Argentina have praised Victoria for her contribution in the effort to normalise breastfeeding in public.

One mum took to social media to heap praise on Perez, writing: "Breasts are for breast feeding! I admire both her & her parliament for doing it publicly!" Another supporter added: “I admire her, because many mothers leave their children at the nursery although breast milk is so much better than any food.”

However, while many were impressed with the move by Perez, her actions naturally drew some criticism also.

“All right, but she should cover her breasts with one of those special bras. You don’t have to wander around showing your boobs,” wrote one user.

Perez’s actions follow the example of other public figures such as model Nicole Trunfio, who recently posed for the cover of Australian ELLE while breastfeeding her baby son.
