Being a new mother is hard enough in itself, but we can’t imagine how difficult parenthood must be right now for Briana Jungwirth; the mother of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson’s son, Freddie.

Not only has the young mother been the subject of abuse from online trolls, but she has found herself at the centre of a particularly nasty ‘conspiracy theory’ that her baby is, in fact, not real!

Incredibly, US MTV News decided to run with the story by posting an Instagram photo of singer Louis holding his son, but with a blank outline and question marks added to the baby’s head.

Where's Freddie? #LarryIsReal

The caption under the photo, which has been heavily criticised by followers, reads: “Where’s Freddie? #LarryIsReal’, referring to the fan theory that Louis and bandmate Harry Style are in a romantic relationship.

Clearly fed up with the hurtful headlines and stories regarding her child, Briana chose to respond directly beneath the picture and call out the staff at MTV for publishing the photo.

“Sorry, but that is just cruel. I don’t usually speak out much, but I’d like to know how you would feel as a proud new mother reading something like this,” she challenged the media outlet.

You've changed my life for the better. I love you with my whole heart.

She added: “How dare anyone call my child fake. That’s sick and morally wrong. Say all you’d like, but I won’t let anyone take away the happiness I have for my baby son. I know Louis won’t either.”

Thankfully, the majority of people commenting on the photo were also in agreement that the image was highly disrespectful, and many have called for it to be removed.

SHARE if you think the photo should be removed out of respect for this young mother and her baby.
