First we had Emilie de Ravin announcing the birth of her baby daughter, then Anna Silk took to Instagram to reveal she's become a mum for the second time, and now noughties popstar, Tina Barrett, has delighted fans all over by sharing her fantastic baby news!
Tina, who enjoyed major success as a member of S Club 7, announced that she's expecting her first child with boyfriend Paul Cashmore during an exclusive interview with OK! magazine.
The 39-year-old singer, who is already six months into her nine-month journey, couldn't hide her delight when opening up about her impending arrival, telling the magazine: "I have friends who’ve tried for years to get pregnant but we conceived within three months of trying."
The couple, who have been an item for the past three years, admit they were taken aback at the speed with which Tina fell pregnant, saying: "I know it sounds silly but it did take us by surprise - we thought it would take longer."
Turning her attention to her friend and former bandmates with whom she celebrated four number one singles, Tina revealed that her and Paul's news caused untold excitement especially among the female members of the former group.
Recalling her bandmate Jo O'Meara's reaction, the excited mum-to-be said: "Jo burst into tears. She’s so sweet, she couldn’t have been happier for us."
"I’d love my child to be friends with Jo and Rachel’s children. Perhaps we could encourage them to start their own band, that would be cute," Tina pondered as she considered her changing family dynamic and the exciting journey ahead.
Tina, who admitted she learned the sex of her impending arrival but refuses to spill the beans, explained that she got a little emotional upon hearing the news, revealing : I didn’t mind if we had a girl or a boy but I was so overcome with emotion that I couldn’t help myself."
