Jodi, who is expecting her second child with singer husband Kian Egan, took to Instagram to pay tribute to her mum Eileen.
Posting a photo of them both from her childhood, the 31-year-old wrote: “We said goodbye to your body today, but you are part of me and will live on in my heart forever. I will raise my children and make you proud.”
She added: “I love you my mummy. I will treasure our special relationship forever! Thank you for the life you gave me.”
Eileen was first diagnosed with cancer in 2009, and bravely battled the disease for a number of years, before passing away.
It is a devastating time for Jodi, who announced her second pregnancy back in November of last year.
She and The Voice of Ireland judge Kian are already parents to three-year-old son Koa.
Our hearts go out to Jodi and her family at this incredibly sad time.
