The world went all googly-eyed last May when it set eyes on Princess Charlotte for the first time, and her first portrait – taken by her mum – proved her to be just as sweet and cherubic as we thought.

However, it seems father-of-two Prince William is already prepping himself for those trickier years ahead!

The Duke of Cambridge was attending the Wales v France rugby match yesterday, in Cardiff, when talk naturally turned to his adorable children, George and Charlotte.

When asked how his little darlings are keeping, the Duke was typically humorous as he quipped: “Very well. No broken bones so far, but they are trying – running around and pushing things and jumping. Please tell me it gets easier!”

And while Charlotte is apparently a very placid child, at the age of nine months, William has already been warned of what lies ahead.

“Charlotte is very easy; she is sweet. But all the fathers say to me, ‘Just you wait. When they get to nine or 11, they get crazy.’ I’m looking forward to it. There will be some drama,” said the 33-year-old.

We’re sure William and the Duchess will be more than ready for anything that little George and Charlotte have in store.
