By choosing the same photographer who captured their engagement announcement in 2010 for their daughter’s baptism on Sunday, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, demonstrated that they were clearly very impressed by the talents of Peruvian-born photographer, Mario Testino.

And now that Princess Charlotte’s official christening photographs have been unveiled, we can see why!

Following her baptism at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene on Sunday afternoon, the beautiful baby girl was captured in a variety of shots by the high-profile and much-celebrated photographer, all of which perfectly highlighted the child’s delicate features and stunning christening gown.

Posing for photographs which will go down in both personal and public history, Princess Charlotte’s overjoyed parents looked like happiness personified as they gathered with their son, Prince George, and assembled guests to celebrate the formal naming of their youngest child.

Commenting on the honour bestowed upon him by the British royal family, Mario Testino, in the lead-up to Charlotte’s big day, said: "I am overwhelmed and honoured to be chosen to document this occasion and to carry on the documentation of the family that is the soul of this country, a country that has given me so much."

Prior to their daughter’s baptism, a spokesperson for the much-loved royal couple released a statement praising the 60-year-old photographer, which read: “The Duke and Duchess are delighted that Mario Testino will help capture this important moment for their family and look forward to sharing the photographs with the public."

We can only imagine their delight today – what a truly stunning collection of photographs!
