While her parents were the epitome of traditional regality, their beautiful daughter was the very essence of a mischievous and playful little girl during a family portrait late last year.

The image of the Swedish royal family, which was released to the press nine months after it was taken in December 2014, captures Princess Estelle in a typical toddler stance as her proud parents beam for the camera.

However, while Princess Estelle, who was born in February 2012, is undoubtedly the star of the show in this adorable snap, recent reports confirmed that that may not be the case for much longer!

Crown Princess Victoria, future Queen of Sweden and mum to the beautiful Estelle, will soon welcome another child equally capable of injecting a little frivolity into traditional royal family snaps.

38-year-old Princess Victoria, who wed Prince Daniel in 2010, recently announced she was expecting a second child who will be welcomed into the much-loved royal family in March 2016.

Confirming the wonderful news on their official Facebook page earlier this month, a representative of the family said: "Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are happy to announce that The Crown Princess is expecting their second child. The birth is expected to take place in March of 2016."

The exciting news comes shortly after Victoria's sister, Madeleine, welcomed a child with husband, Chris O'Neill.

We can't wait until an official shot of the royal cousins is released!
