It has been a busy few months for them in terms of baby news, and it looks as though things are about to get even more hectic for this family.
Major congratulations are in order today for Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife, Princess Sofia, who have announced that they are expecting their first child.
The wonderful news was revealed via the Swedish Royal Family’s official Facebook page, with a statement written by the couple reading: “We are so happy and excited to announce that we are expecting our first child. We are very much looking forward to it.”
A representative for the family added: “The birth is expected to take place in April of 2016. No changes in the schedule of The Prince Couple’s public engagements are planned during the fall of 2015.”
This tops off a very exciting year for Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia. The couple, who have been together for over five years, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Stockholm, in June of this year.
Prince Carl Philip’s older sister, Crown Princess Victoria, recently announced that she, too, is expecting for March.
