After 11 years together and seven years of marriage, television star, Alan Halsall who plays Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street and his wife Lucy-Jo Hudson have decided to part ways.

Announcing the news in a joint statement this week, the couple, who met on the set of the Manchester-based soap when Lucy-Jo used play Katy Harris, asked for privacy as they navigated "this emotional time" in their lives.

"Lucy-Jo Hudson and Alan Halsall are sad to announce that they have separated," began the statement. "They have shared many wonderful years together and will remain close friends."

The couple hope to focus on the future in light of recent developments, with the statement continuing: "They ask for privacy at this emotional time, to allow both to focus on their beautiful daughter Sienna-Rae, to ensure her continued happiness."

The couple, who began dating in 2005, married four years later before welcoming a baby girl named Sienna-Rae in 2013.

We're wishing them the best as they begin the next chapter of their lives.
